I believe this is my 4th box from BDJ. I just got it last Wednesday while others got theirs last weekend – it turned out the address they gave to the courier was Cainta Rizal instead of Manila that’s why they had a hard time locating me (weird huh?).
Even though I already saw pictures from other people showing the products inside the box, it did not lessen my excitement at all. In fact, I remember calling the village’s guards like twice a day just to check if there’s a package delivered for me… LOL!
The first thing that I noticed when I opened my box was a pair of L’Oreal’s Fall Repair Shampoo & Conditioner. Though I already saw these two as part of other girls’ BDJ boxes, I actually thought that maybe I’ll get something different since I already received the same products in my March box. Truth be told, there was a part of me that felt a bit disappointed because getting the same items from the same beauty box in the span of 4 months makes the whole idea of “trying out something new” invalid. Having said this, I do like that they gave me travel-size shampoo and conditioner (70ml each) because I could easily bring it with me whenever I go out of town. Also, a few hours ago, I received BDJ’s newsletter explaining why they decided to include L’Oreal’s Shampoo & Conditioner in this month’s box:
“We hope you’re all aware that most products work best when you use the entire line. We want you to experience the best possible results from the L’Oreal Fall Repair 3X Hair Tonic, which works best with the L’Oreal Fall Repair 3X Shampoo and Conditioner. Plus, we want to give the Bellas who missed the March box a chance to try these amazing products as well.”
—>> Hmmm… They say that most products work best when you use the entire line… so I’ll give it a try then..
It’s my first time to get a sample of L’Oreal’s Anti-Hair Fall Tonic so I’m pretty happy to get this one. I actually tried using it awhile ago. One thing I like about this product line is its smell. It’s just so good! The leave-on tonic was not greasy at all and it’s very easy to apply too – using the nozzle, apply the tonic directly on the roots of your hair and gently massage the scalp with your fingers and most importantly, do not rinse.
I may have mentioned in one of my blog posts that I am not usually thrilled to get products from Avon but I always look forward to getting a lipstick sample from my beauty box so this is okay for me… and I like that the color of the lipstick is red. Now, the last time I applied a red lipstick (Revlon brand) on my lips, I had an allergic reaction and my lips got so swollen that it sucks big time since I really loved the color. I’m hoping that I won’t get any allergic reaction when I try this lipstick from Avon – fingers crossed.
I have never tried this product before and I initially got excited when I saw this in my box but I was not happy when I saw the color that was given to me – 003 Emerald Empire. I don’t know if this color will work well on me but I’ll give it a shot…
Physiogel is a new brand to me but I’m very eager to try this one. I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about their products. It is quite expensive for its size but they say that Physiogel is a well-trusted brand by dermatologists and is, in fact, very effective.
It provides a high level of natural lipids in a unique Derma Membrane Structure (DMS) base for long lasting hydration of moderately dry to very dry, irritated and sensitive skin. It can be applied on hands, elbows and other particularly dry areas of your body.
Just like Physiogel, this is also the first time that I’ve heard about “Kinerase”. This brand claims to be the secret to Timeless Skin. They have formulated a line of products that are supported by “kinetin” – a plant-based antioxidant with properties that were discovered when scientists found that it prevented plant leaves from drying out and withering.
A promise to achieving timeless skin? That’s a pretty bold claim. I’m glad that BDJ gave us some samples to try so we could test it first before buying the full-size products as it’s not cheap at all – it better be good.
As I always do… I tried to calculate the value of all the products that I received from BDJ and it’s roughly about Php3800. A subscription to BDJ box is only at Php580 a month so I obviously got more than what I paid for. 🙂
BDJ only offers a limited number of stocks per month and I heard that July box is already sold out. If you want to get your hands on their August box, I suggest that you subscribe now before it’s too late. 😉
