When Glamourbox announced on their Facebook page that they will be shipping their special edition: Bridal Bliss Box by the end of this week, I was expecting that I’ll get mine by Monday but much to my surprise, the guards delivered it to my home when I arrived.
I gotta say… I’ve been waiting for this box for so long. When Glamourbox called it their “Bridal Bliss Box”, my initial thought was “it has to be glamorous”. My expectation was so high that I decided to purchase another box – I thought I could split the products and give it as gifts to my family. 🙂 —> (Unfortunately, my expectation was not met)
***For tonight though, I just received one. I don’t know what happened to my other box but I’m hoping to get it by Monday, at least.
Anyway… the box contains 7 items plus 2 coupons/vouchers.
In this month’s box, Glamourbox was able to provide several items that I have not received (nor tried) from any of the previous beauty boxes that I got – except for the Physiogel Intensive Cream – however, there is that big part of me that is not contented with the products inside the box. Don’t get me wrong… the items aren’t that bad at all. It’s just that I probably expected something different – something with a “wow” factor – considering that this is supposedly a “special edition” box. To have to wait this long to get this box, I expected more… so much more. I feel quite disappointed and I actually regret purchasing a second box. 😦
Let’s check each item:
This is a facial cleansing sponge that will help clear your skin of any makeup residues. I’ve never had this before so I think it’s worth a try. I’m curious to know how durable this product is and how effective it is so I’ll give it a shot tomorrow.
According to the curator card, it says that this gentle hypoallergenic cleanser requires no rinsing and leaves the skin soft, hydrated and clean. It can also be used as a makeup remover by those with sensitive skin. In terms of removing makeup, this product is similar to the one I got from my April BDJ Box – Bifesta Age Care Cleansing Lotion. I wonder if this Mustela sample is as good as the one from Bifesta. I’ll try to do a comparison tomorrow. 😉
This product claims to have the purest natural ingredients that mattifies the face, keeps oil at bay and helps makeup last. Oh! I am not familiar with this brand but I would love to try this one and see if it can keep my face oil-free for several hours or not.
I don’t know if everybody gets the same shade but I really like that mine is pink. As always, I will just wish and hope that using this one will not give me any allergic reaction. *fingers crossed*
***Update (July 1): I read a post on their Facebook page from another customer saying that her daughter had an allergic reaction after using this lipstick. Tsk! Now, I’m terrified to try this.
Now, this is something new to me. It’s a purifying gel cleanser that has oil control and micro-exfoliating properties that reveal brighter, oil-free skin. Anything that claims to help achieve an oil-free skin, I am damn willing to try! I like that they gave out 10ml-size samples because it will give me a chance to test this product for more than a week.
This is similar to one of the products I received from my March BDJ Box – L’Oreal UV Perfect Longlasting UV Protector. This sunscreen also provides complete, long-lasting protection against UVA/UVB rays and it leaves an ultra-light, non-greasy finish. I’m happy to receive this one since my L’Oreal UV Protector is about to run out but, at the same time, I am also a little worried to use Neutrogena’s version. The last time I used a Neutrogena product (way back in college), my face became way too oily (seriously!). I might have to cross my fingers again with this one. LOL!
This is the most expensive product of the bunch but I am not happy. I already received the same product from my June BDJ Box… not to mention the same sample I got from Sample Room. Even though this product is really good in moisturizing my skin, I would prefer to get another type of product that I haven’t tried before… and since I purchased 2 Bridal Bliss Boxes, this just means that I now own a total of 4 Physiogel Intensive Cream. Great! Just Great!
I got this voucher that entitles me to a FREE Plana FORMA Trial Class at any of their studios – Plana FORMA @ Bonifacio Global City & Plana FORMA @ Centris Walk. It’s a free 55-minute class of intense, fat-burning and muscle building workout. I have been eating a lot lately and have gained some weight too but I’m not interested to use this one since it’s very far from my place. I’ll just give it to someone who might want it. Do you want it? 🙂
Another free stuff that is located far away from my home. This complimentary nail art (Caviar, Velvet & Foil) is only valid at Posh Nails Marikina so I have no use for it. Another giveaway then…
So to recap… the products aren’t
that too bad… it’s still worth a try. It just doesn’t excite me as much as the stuff I get from the other beauty box. That said, I’m happy that the total price of all the items is more than 3 times what I paid for so it’s still okay. The total amount is about Php1800+ and the beauty box costs about Php595 each so not bad… not bad at all. That said, I am less and less likely to subscribe again. This is my 4th beauty box from Glamourbox already so imagine not having your expectations met four times in a row – that’s just sad.
**Glamourbox has decided not to offer beauty boxes on a monthly basis so if you want to get one, you have to always check their Facebook page for updates.
