I think that Shu Uemura needs no introduction anymore since it’s one of the most well-known cosmetic brands in the world. Their products are of really good quality but are very expensive which is why I never get to try their products…
But thanks to Sample Room, I managed to grab some samples of Shu Uemura High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil. They gave me a total of 7 sachets (4ml each) for a 7-day supply. Yey!
“Classic” is the original Shu Uemura cleansing oil that has recently been reformulated to provide an even better way of removing waterproof makeup. It also leaves your skin feeling clean and moisturized. This product is suitable for all skin types.
Recently, I wrote a review about the Bifesta Cleansing Lotion and Mustela Cleansing Fluid that I got from BDJ and Glamourbox. Both were very effective and very easy to apply – with the use of a cotton ball – but I have to say that using Shu Uemura’s cleansing oil was the easiest. 🙂
Here is the list of makeup products that I used on my face:
1. Celeteque Dermoscience Multi-Benefit BB Cream
2. Elf Eyebrow Kit
3. Avon Super Shock Max Mascara
4. Eye of Horus Natural Smokey Eye Pencil
5. Maybelline Lumineyes
6. Maybelline Clear Smooth All-In-One Shine Free Cake Powder
7. Clinique Blushing Blush Powder Blush
*As I’ve mentioned, using Shu Uemura’s cleansing oil is very easy. First, you have to spread the oil gently and thoroughly over dry face.
Once done, you need to add a few drops of lukewarm water to your face to emulsify. If you look at the picture below, you’ll notice that the oil turned milky white after adding water.
The last step would be to rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water. That’s it!
See… it’s very easy, right? It was able to remove my makeup in seconds. I didn’t even have problems removing my eye makeup. The entire process was such a breeze. After using this cleansing oil, my skin looked really clean and felt so soft too. Oh, it also smells really good! 🙂
I got a total of 7 sachets from Sample Room which is meant for a 7-day supply but I was able to use 1 sachet in 3 occasions. I guess it will just really depend on the amount of makeup you have on your face. In my case, it wasn’t really a lot (except for the eye area) so my 7-day supply turned into a 21-day supply. Hehe!
I enjoyed using this product a lot but I’m not so sure if I would ever buy their full-size bottle since it costs about Php4000 (450ml bottle). If they have a smaller bottle, I’d be much more willing to buy. 🙂
If you also want to test this product for free, try checking Sample Room’s website. They currently have no available stocks for this one but sometimes, they restock their old samples so if you are lucky enough, you might end up getting yourself some samples too. *fingers crossed* 🙂
