Review: Roast Beef @ Hot Chicks – SM Mall

Roast beef is one of those most popular dishes that is usually served in buffet restaurants. In fact, when people go to buffet restaurants, they always target the carving station because as they say “if you can eat a lot of slices of roast beef/steak, then it’s as good as saying that you already got your money’s worth or possibly more”. Roast beef isn’t really something that people eat on a daily basis since it is known to be a bit pricey but fret no more… I have found a place that sells good roast beef for the price of just Php69 – and it comes with rice too.

Hot Chicks

Hot Chicks is normally located right across/beside SM supermarket. People usually drop by this place to get some reasonably priced roast chicken but what they don’t realize is that Hot Chicks also offers liempo, baby back ribs, pork chop, and my favorite – roast beef.

Roast Beef – Whole (Php230)

Everything they sell here is very affordable. Their whole roast beef is just Php230 and it’s already good for 2-4 people (depending on one’s appetite).

ImageImageWhenever I go to SM and feel the urge to buy food, I always end up buying Hot Chicks’ roast beef with rice – as in always! I figured that paying Php69 for roast beef is better than paying the same amount for a fried chicken in some fast food restaurants. How about you? If you have Php69 to spend, which food would you buy? 🙂

Roast Beef with Rice (Php69)

In case you are wondering (about the picture above)…. the reason why my order looks like that is because I love their sauce so much. I have become a regular customer already so every time I drop by, even before I say anything, the server already knows what I will order. When they see me, I am greeted with the phrase “Ma’am, roast beef with rice po… at dagdag na sauce”. Hahaha!!! Their sauce is truly rich in flavor that is why I also put lots of it on my rice. The roast beef, on the other hand, is tender and very juicy. It had the right amount of herbs and so both the roast beef and the sauce complimented each other really well.

For the price of Php69, you can tell just by looking at the picture above that I was able to get a decent amount of roast beef. If you are one of those people who always order roast chicken at Hot Chicks, I suggest that you try their roast beef next time. I’m sure that you will also like it as much as I do. 🙂
