On our last day in Boracay, we decided to eat at Smoke Resto located in D’ Mall (station 2). I have read some good reviews about this place and so I thought I should give it a try too.
Smoke Resto offers several rice meal options so I’m sure you’ll find something that will appeal to your taste bud. Their prices are not really that cheap but not that expensive too. If your food budget ranges from Php150 – Php250 per meal (with drinks), then you can give Smoke Resto a try. Plus, they are open for 24 hours so you can visit them anytime you want and if I remember correctly, they also accept orders for delivery.
I love mango shake a lot and so I made sure to drink one at least once a day for 5 days.
For lunch, I ordered one of my favorite dishes – Beef Salpicao. Smoke Resto describes this dish as “stir fried beef strips in chili dark sauce topped with garlic bits”.
I like that my order contained a lot of meat so paying Php150 seems reasonable. Now, although the meat was very tender, I feel that it needed a lot more garlic for it to be called as a beef salpicao. Am I making sense? The food was delicious but it really lacked that garlicky taste that I was looking for. The chili dark sauce was a nice addition to the dish but it wasn’t enough for me. LOL! The next time I eat there, I’ll try to request for more chili dark sauce and definitely a lot more garlic. 🙂
