Unboxing: November BDJ Box – An Exclusive Benefit (2014)

It’s been quite a while since I last subscribed for a BDJ box so it’s nice to be able to receive one again. Initially, I was planning to just subscribe for the December box but I was worried that the December box will be sold out again even before they announce its subscription – just like what happened last year – so when they said that the November box is open for subscription, I immediately purchased 2 boxes, which allowed me to reserve a slot for November and another one for December.

And you know what? I am so glad I did that because the November box is all about the Benefit brand. I always feel happy every time I get to sample products that are expensive because I get to try it without having to shell out a lot of money. 🙂

All the products in the box are in sample sizes. To be honest, it would have been nicer if there was at least one product in full size but I’m not really complaining because I like cute stuff and Benefit products are just so adorable. And I also love how creative Benefit is when it comes to their product names; it just makes the makeup process more fun for women. 🙂

Let’s check each item:

POREfessional PRO Balm – Full Size 22ml (Php1600)

There are 2 samples of POREfessional PRO Balm included in the box – each one at 3ml. This product helps minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines. It can be used either under or over makeup. It would be really interesting to see how effective this product is when applied to some problem areas on my face. I hope it works!

They’re Real! Push-Up Liner – Full Size 1.4g (Php1300)

This lash-hugging pen gel liner uses a soft AccuFlex tip that gives you smooth, non-budge application. When applied, this gel eyeliner can last for about 24 hours. I also got 2 samples for this one – at 0.10g each – so I hope I’ll be able to use these several times before it runs out. I can’t wait to use this one tomorrow. ^_^

High Beam Complexion Enhancer – Full Size 12.5ml (Php1700)

High Beam gives a subtle sheen to your face so you can get that fresh and dewy look. The sample is just at 2.5ml but I think it is already enough to last for several days/weeks since you only need a small amount to achieve that slight shimmer effect on some parts of your face.

Big Easy Complexion Perfector – Full Size 35ml (Php2000)

Big Easy contains ingredients known to help balance moisture & control oil. The cushiony liquid-to-powder formula self adjusts to your exact shade to even out skin tone and conceal imperfections. I feel that this product is going to be perfect for my skin since my face usually tends to look oily when I use certain creams. If this can effectively control oil then I would no longer have to apply powder every few hours. I’m crossing my fingers now. 🙂

Fakeup Hydrating Concealer – Full Size 3.5g (Php1300)

This hydrating crease-control concealer hides dark circles and diffuses fine lines for a silky smooth, ultra-natural look. This is one of those products that I wish to be in full size because I’m going to need a lot of this. I’ve been sleeping late or should I say early in the morning for several weeks now and it is definitely obvious because I can easily spot dark circles underneath my eyes when I look at the mirror.

Lollitint Lip & Cheek Stain – Full Size 12.5ml (Php1700)

This is my least favorite sample from the bunch because I am not fond of using tint on my cheeks. I tried one before and I think I looked hideous. Haha! I also wouldn’t enjoy using it on my lips since I don’t really like applying anything on my lips – unless I have to.

Bathina Scented Body Mist – Full Size 75ml (Php1800)

Oh how lovely the bottle is! I love that they made an effort to create a gorgeous bottle even though it only contains 7ml. I also like that the scent isn’t too overpowering and over time, it can actually be addicting. True to their words “just confess, you’re obsessed”… I believe that I’m already hooked! This body mist will leave you feeling smooth and irresistibly sexy from head-to-toe. To use this product, you have to mist on body and hair from 18 inches away.

Instant Comeback Facial Serum

This is bonus item #1. This serum makes your skin feel firmer, smoother and more hydrated while it protects your skin from aging.

Total Moisture Facial Cream

This is bonus item #2. This Facial Cream will leave your skin feeling hydrated and soft to touch.

Hello Gorgeous! Voucher

This is bonus item #3. This voucher entitles the holder a FREE makeupper and brow consultation at any Benefit stores. I don’t know if I’ll be able to use this one since most of the stores are far from my place. Good thing though that this voucher is valid from November 1, 2014 to February 28, 2015 so this will give me plenty of time to make a decision.

Although all the products are in sample sizes only, the total value of it all still reached Php1,827.21 so, in my opinion, it is still worth it.
